"Hong Kong International Artists Exhibition 2018"

香港國際藝術家作品展2018

Date: 11-13 June 2018

Venue: Hong Kong City Hall Exhibition Hall

This exhibition provided the perfect opportunity for local artists and international artists to meet each other. They came from different parts of the world like Crow from Germany, Katrina Sadrak from Poland and Madeline Churchill from the UK. Held in the central location of Hong Kong with natural lighting, the audience got to admire artworks with different styles ranging from traditional Chinese painting to the fusion of Eastern and Western art. In here, tradition and modernity coexist in harmony. The integration of distinctive styles shows how art allows painters of different cultural backgrounds to disregard the physical boundaries imposed on them and create fearlessly. Many artists work as a part-time painter to pursue their dream - to create and influence. It is hoped that in this prosperous city, everyone has the chance to slow down and appreciate what art has to offer for them.

"Beginning November In Hong Kong"

Date: 9-11 November 2017

Venue: Harbour Gallery

At the beginning of November, six Korean female artists (namely Lee Mi Young, Shin Sung Hee, Lee In Suk, Won Jung In, Kim Eun Hee, Kim Yae Rang and supervising professor Lee Sun Jong) from Hongik Institute of Continuing Education came here and held their first exhibition in Hong Kong. The Hongik Institute of Continuing Education provides courses for students regardless of age to expand their knowledge on art basics and aims to enhance people's understanding of culture and art.

Harbour Gallery provides an easily accessible location for the artists to showcase their talent in this metropolis. Their artworks are mostly inspired by daily life. They allow us to pay more attention to the details, to see what we have missed in our life. Sometimes, it is the small details of life that are the most intriguing. Mundane elements in paintings inspire us to take things slow, appreciate the things around us.
